I Know Nothing About His Politics But I'm All In On President Hickenlooper, 2020

NY Post - Former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper became the latest Democrat to toss his hat into a crowded ring of candidates running for president in 2020.

“I’m running for president because we need dreamers in Washington, but we also need to get things done,” Hickenlooper said in a video released on his campaign’s Twitter page Monday. “I’ve proven again and again I can bring people together to produce the progressive change Washington has failed to deliver.”

LFG! I have found my presidential favorite for 2020. It’s this guy from Colorado and his name is Hickenlooper. At first when I read that headline this morning I was like “this dude needs to change his name if he wants to be president”. I was thinking about the long line of presidents with majestic, strong last names- last names like Roosevelt, Kennedy, Madison, and Obama. But then I thought, god damn, if you don’t want Hickenlooper all over the news for the next 6-10 years, you’re just not livin’. If my guy Hickenlooper can get to where he is now with that last name, imagine what he’d have accomplished if he was John *insert literally any other last name here*.

And this is why modern day politics is so great. All it takes is a funny last name and I’m like “yep, I like that guy”. Didn’t do any reading about his politics, his stances, nothing. Hickenlooper is my guy, and there’s no two ways about it.
